Ok, so I am obsessed with these! I keep discovering new, wonderful cake toppers and I have to remember that there are only 2 cakes. I can't go overboard. However, I really like these. Find them here, in jennifer murphy's etsy shop. A bit out of my price range, but lovely.

little people for the grooms cake

I found the cutest little wedding people for the top of the grooms cake. The etsy shop is called, "Goose Grease" and they make these little painted wooden people. After I sent them a photo, they made Todd and I in wooden form.

Wedding map!

Many friends in our wedding party (and many guests) are coming from far away places to join us on our big day, so we created a wedding map so that everyone can view our Austin favorites. We included the best places to stay, eat, shop, and things you must explore while visiting the city. 

How to view:

To see the overview, click here and simply drag around the map to see specific locations. On the left sidebar under "locations list", scroll down to see the different categories and places. By clicking on the place you are interested in, you can see its location on the map along with photos we uploaded and little comments I have left that describe each place. 

I hope this is helps everyone find fun things to do during their vacation. With sooo many things to do, we tried to specifically list places that are special to us.

eliza valentine

This has nothing to do with wedding planning, but I just finished talking with Thomas, Heather, and Eliza on ichat. She is so adorable and getting bigger everyday. I miss them soooo much!

vegan cake

I am trying to find a great vegan baker in Austin to make us a vegan grooms cake (chocolate). One of my bridesmaids is vegan and some of the guests are too. I want it to be extra scrumptious and a good treat for them to eat and help them feel like part of the celebration. So far, I have found 3 places that will do the job! 

On another note, I found my cruelty free feathers!!!! I knew my persistence would pay off! I found this wonderful little etsy shop, Renewed Resources who gather the fallen feathers from their own hens and guineas on their property. Now the boutonnieres I am going to make will be even better knowing that they came from a good place.

dress

I got my dress ordered!!!! I am so excited and have no idea where I am going to store it in our tiny NY apartment without Todd seeing. All I can post is this tiny picture so I won't give it away!
